/deop

Revokes operator (admin) status from a player on the server.

Syntax

/deop <targets>

Parameters

Name	Required	Description
targets	Yes	The player(s) whose operator status should be revoked.

Examples

/deop Steve
/deop @a

Notes

• Requires permission level 3.
• Dedicated server only — cannot be used in singleplayer.
• The de-opped player immediately loses access to operator-level commands.
• The operator list is stored in ops.json on the server.

Command Block Use

This command is not usable from command blocks. It is a server-operator-only command.
